What is a doula?
A doula is n experienced caregiver who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to a mother before, during, and shortly after childbirth. Unlike a midwife, a doula is not a medical professional but serves as a continuous support person. Hiring a doula can lead to a more positive birth experience, reducing stress and anxiety. Studies show that having a doula can result in shorter labour, fewer complications, and a lower likelihood of needing medical interventions. A doula empowers you, advocates for your birth plan, and ensures you feel supported throughout the process. Choosing a doula means prioritising personalised care and holistic support during one of the most significant moments of your life.
